I was invited to take part in a fundraiser for New Hope Christian Academy, an urban elementary school here in town, commissioned for a 20"x20" piece that reflects my personal concept of "hope."
I had to mull over the word, "hope" for a bit, unsure of how to visually express that broad concept. In the end, I decided to maintain my recognizable aesthetic and create a sort of physical embodiment of hope in the form of one of my "decorators." I went with a cool and calming palette with some gold thrown in for contrast.
The piece will be gifted to a donor at the Arts on the Grounds event at New Hope on September 22nd, coordinated by Crosstown Arts and Elliot Perry. I am so excited to be a part of this!
