Hiya lovelies! Thank you as always for reading this blog. I'm astounded that my stories are worthy enough of your time. You're the best!
I had a wonderful time Friday afternoon at the first anniversary celebration of Falling into Place. Mary Claire White's beautiful space in the Broad Avenue Arts District has a tastefully curated collection of local pieces (including a few of my prints she placed in gorgeous frames) and it is so much fun to be in there looking at everything. I purchased a hand-painted candle (a collaboration between Amy Hartelust and Mary Claire, who makes and sells her own line of hand-poured candles that smell like pure awesome) and a couple of air plants.
I had my first Mempop (Blackberry Lemon Rose flavor!), got a henna tattoo and met some rad artist ladies.
Saturday, Eric and I sold some art the Choose 901 Back to School Pop-Up Shop, ate Soul Burgers from Earnestine and Hazel's, and re-watched Stranger Things, ate pizza and played Little Devils with some of our dearest friends in our freshly cleaned house.
I'll be dropping off a couple pieces at "Frog Haus" for "Naked Flowers: Art by Memph-ininists" put together by the Memphis Feminist Collective. Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/815704881894163/
I'm going to purchase a couple new 36"x48"s later and work with some new palettes and patterns, maybe get away from the ocean forms for a bit. I spent the morning working on the yard, so I'm thinking of going more in the direction of my Caddis series. Stay tuned. Oh, and Echo says hey.
