Lush, seductive, and spellbinding, A Dance with Death is everything you could ask for in a romantic fairytale re-telling and so much more. Within a steamy, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers story, we have Corliss, a tattooed, bi/pan ballerina who will do anything for her sisters—including facing off with actual demons—in their little seaside town so richly described, I found myself wanting to crawl in the pages and stay forever.
Every character, scent and sensation begs to be savored in Linsmeier's gorgeous prose. The plot is propulsive and twisty with enough quiet, peaceful moments to appreciate the incredible world Linsmeier has crafted here. Easily one of my top reads of the year and a story I'll revisit many years to come.
I can't wait to see the other Bell sisters in their own tales in books 2 and 3!
Thank you to Amanda Linsmeier, Turner, and Keylight Books for the ARC.
